The concept of colour therapy has been around a long time. The principal of colour therapy is based upon the individual's chakras, or energy center. If the chakra is blocked, optimum performance may be impaired. If the chakra is balanced with respect to energy levels, then optimum well being may be obtained. Color therapy uses color and light to improve well being, by balancing colors of the light spectrum.
Light wavelength determines visual color. The light spectrum ranges from violet, with its high frequency and short wavelength, to red, with its low frequency and long wavelength. The chakra within the body also consists of these colors which emits and absorbs energy. Are you attracted to some colors more than others? This is because the energy vibration of that color may be lacking. The body seeks the deficient color in order to achieve a balanced state.
